Summary:

Reid the Dog needs to cross a chasm between two cliffs.  He decides to make a bridge by tilting a log over the expanse. As he walks across the log, he loses his balance. He grabs the log and climbs across to the other side.

When one student finishes reading the booklet, you can pass it on to the next student who is ready for it.  Or you can create one copy for each student and tell them that they can color the pictures when they finish reading it.
