Summary:

It is time to take the dog to the vet.  Tim doesn't like getting shots, so he is worried that his dog will be scared too. But when he sees that the dog is not scared, he realizes that he has nothing to worry about. In fact, the dog inspires Tim to be even braver when he goes to the doctor from now on!

Full Text:

Page 1)    Tim and his dog were in the playing in the yard.
Page 2)    Mom said, "We have to take the dog to the vet."
Page 3)    Tim said, "I do not understand.  He is not sick."
Page 4)    "He must get his shots," Mom explained. "That will keep him from getting sick."
Page 5)    Tim bit his fingernails.  He did not like getting shots, and he did not want that to happen to his dog.
Page 6)    Mom peeked in the back.  "What is the matter, Tim?"  she asked.
Page 7)    The dog licked Tim's cheek and wagged its tail.  Tim did not see much fear in the little dog, so he felt better.
Page 8)    He rubbed the dog's ears and said, "This is a brave dog!"  Mom nodded, "Yes, he is!"
Page 9)    In the clinic, Tim hugged his dog while the vet gave it shots.  
Page 10)  Tim said, "I will have to be brave like you the next time I get a shot."
