Summary:
The best thing Sid can do for the old tree's leaf is to plant a new one. He digs a hole, places the seed inside, and feeds it plenty of water and sunshine. Soon enough a new tree is stretching up toward the sky. Sid gets the idea to plant many more!
In this imaginative retelling of the story, "The Seed", students have the text written in both serif and specialized orthography to aid their progress.
