Summary:

Matt is having a wonderful morning jog along the beach until he steps on a pile of spiky seeds. Though the pain is terrible, his good friend Sam shows up to lend him a pair of flipflops.  Confident that his feet are now safe, Matt happily resumes his exercise.

In this imaginative retelling of the story, "Feet", students have the text written in both serif and specialized orthography to aid their progress.

Page 1)   matt ran on the beach. the sand under his feet is soft.
Page 2)   matt said, "running on the sand is more fun than swimming."
Page 3)   matt did not see the seeds.                            
Page 4)   the seeds have sharp things on them!
