Page 1) After a rainy morning, the teachers set up a game day on the wet, muddy grass outside.
Page 2) The teachers put the kids on a red team and a green team.
Page 3) The teams played lots of silly sports like the disc toss, the egg run, and the sack hop.
Page 4) The last sport was the rope battle, with the kids on this side and the teachers on the other side of a big mud puddle.
Page 5) "We have to make them land in that mud!" Tim exclaimed. Kate and the other kids nodded.
Page 6) The battle started. The kids pulled hard, but the teachers did not take a single step.
Page 7) "I am starting to get worn out," said Tim. Kate said, "I bet that they are just waiting until we get weaker."
Page 8) Tim felt that Kate was correct. He said, "We can't win by pulling, so we have to try another plan."
Page 9) Tim said, "let go!" The kids let go of the rope, and the teachers fell back in another puddle of mud.
Page 10) His teacher said, "We lost? We have never lost!" The kids cheered and lifted up Tim and Kate.
